Founded in 1945 and rebranded in 1975, WHAT Radio has been at Stetson for some time.We are part of Hatter Network, Stetson’s student media group that also includes the Reporter, Touchstone, and the Creative Team! Being part of WHAT Radio means we’re all here to support you and your efforts in one of our two sections which includes the Events team or Show Hosts.EventsHosting in person events is a large part of WHAT Radio. Every Thursday at 9:30pm in Lee’s Garage at the CUB, we host Uncouth Hour, Stetson’s weekly open mic night co-hosted by us and Touchstone. As a avenue to showcase student talent and more, WHAT Radio keeps the mics hot and the speakers loud to empower students week after week. We’re also a resource for other organizations on campus to help setup audio/visual equipment for their needs. When we’re not helping other organizations, we also do our own events from time to time.No matter your skill level, we’ll teach you how to setup and take down equipment for these events as well as have fun along the way!Show HostsShow Hosts are the artists and creators of WHAT Radio. Whether you want to start a podcast, interview, perform, or something in between, we have the tools and knowledge to help you!The WHAT Radio staff holds what we call Glass Wall Sessions, inviting musical artists to come in and perform at the station (Hence the name). Don’t let that limit you though, students have come in and used the space for all kinds. We also have the tools to take your shows on the go and record outside the station for whatever that may be!Take your creativity to new heights with becoming a Show Host, no matter what you want to do!
